January 31, 2009
With the purpose of beginning a mutual exchange of trainings between North America, the Caribbean, and Central America, a team from Christian Schools International (CSI), visited the Nehemiah Center this week to facilitate a 2-day training for teachers and school administrators.
These trainings were designed to strengthen the Network of Schools in Christian Educations in the Americas (REEDUCA in Spanish) and also to provide the representatives of CSI with feedback on how to best work with Christian schools in Nicaragua. The training topics were School Leadership and The School as a Community. These same trainings were also given in the Martin Luther University in Managua.
Of the 35 participants, 12 were facilitators, 3 represented the Coordinating Team of the Ester-Excellence Project, 4 attended from Honduras, and 16 were directors of mentor schools (Ester-Excellence).
